The creator of Derry Girls, Lisa McGee has just released a new Netflix show called “How to Get to Heaven from Belfast” and has used 3 Girls Aloud songs in the series (Featured in Episodes 2 and 6).

She talks about Girls Aloud in a recent interview:

“I think because Girls Aloud has a Derry girl in it, that felt fun to sort of work that in. Some of the tracks in Derry Girls that we had to use, we cut off at 1998. So Girls Aloud, I could never use. I was like ‘Well, I’m using them now – all the time!’.”
